Continuing with Discordance Axis, here's their only EP.
There are some important facts to be said about this one, so let me start:
- this is the only DA studio recording where Steve Procopio plays guitar (Rob Marton recorded every other release)
- "Drowned" and "A Leaden Stride to Nowhere" are Rob Marton songs
- this first version of "The Inalieanble Dreamless" was a Steve Procopio song, and it's quite different than the one on The Inalienable Dreamless album
- the song "A Leaden Stride to Nowhere" features Masami Akita, aka Merzbow
- the first untitled track is a noise experiment similar to Nikola Tesla on Jouhou, and the second one is (quoting Jon Chang) "an electro study we did that is err...hopefully bearable"
The overall sound is also totally different and really noisy, but not in a raw way like on the split with Capitalist Casualties. It's more like someone was fucking around with plastic bags around the microphones while they were recording. Or something.
Yeah... I guess that's not a very good example. :D
So just listen for yourself.
