You know, in a perfect world, I wouldn't be posting this. In a perfect world, you'd all have copies of this stunning, noisy, chaotic piece of grind amazingness. In a
perfect fucking world, this would have been followed by more and more releases, each delving further into the unpleasantness and manipulation behind that scourge of the rational: religion. Yup, a record with anti-religious sentiment that doesn't come across as childish whining!
If you have(and have listened to) Today Is The Day's
Sadness Will Prevail, you have a slight idea of what to expect - discordance, barely tolerable throat noises, pure pessimism, violence... Al of these things are present, and turned up to eleven. The sections of this record based on repetitive feedback/drones are absolutely stunning, almost tribal in their intensity. Just fucking download it, they only have 322 listeners on last.fm.
ALSO! This is the remastered 2004 version - if any of you have a physical copy of the 1999 original release, let me know. I might be willing to perform degrading acts in exchange for it.

No worries about reposting shit. The blog started because it had a mission: spreading Swarrrm('s releases other than the albums) around.
ReplyDeleteThat said, any blog named "blast beat worship" can't be half bad, hahaha!
Depends, chap. I've got the 2004 Calculated Risk release, mastered by Scott Hull - I'm looking for the 1999 Screams of Salvation version, as well as anything by Slavearc or Thekevorkiansolution, or the Withdrawn demos. I'll send you an electric letter regardless, as I'd love another copy of the 2004 version for my collection anyway :)
ReplyDeletei also only have the 2004 calculated risk version. it is really friggin good, dunno where to get the other version. the calcuklated risk guy (dave, is it??) has like a million of it lwft in his house. it makes him sad, as he thought veryone would want one of thede. get in touch with him, i am sure he will send you some for free. or if not, then at a reasonable price. he si a reasonable man.
ReplyDeletecheers, blast beat worship guys
Koreisch were fucking GREAT. My old band redrighthand played with 'em a couple of times and they were always FULL-ON. The guitarist and drummer went on to do another band that was a little 'artier' but still fierce as fuck. Unfortunately my memory is shot to fuck and I can't remember their name. Balls.
ReplyDeletethekevorkiansolution? I have 'allsymbolsarebastards', it's a fucking weird record.
ReplyDeleteOdd question, but which redrighthand were you in? I've heard a few with that name :)
The thing... would that be the narcosis member's band that got signed to Dry run?
ReplyDeletei have (actually had, its long gone now) a copy of the 1999 original release bought from gavin of stickfigure distro at michiganfest 99. put it in my cd player in my car and got blown away in the parking lot while sweep the leg johnny was playing inside...kinda regret missing most of their set but falling in love with this record for a decade more than made up for that.
ReplyDeleteps: also posted this record on my blog sometime ago too. feel free to check it out
