The first post in a series of splits and other stuff from the (unarguably) best grindcore band ever. Which one of these two is it? Hint: 2 words, 1st one includes 'disco' and 'dance'. And yeah, once again I'm not posting full-lengths 'cause they're very easy to find and buy or download. This is the first DA split (and first release in general) with another (not as awesome and more standard) grindcore band called Cosmic Hurse. I know nothing more about CH, except that they're from New Jersey too. Apparently this release was all that DA had planned, but luckily they continued with much more. Features a lot of growling and seemingly more guitar distortion than on Ulterior ('cause the guitar on Ulterior didn't have much distortion, remember?). The stuff is already pretty awesome and unique, and it shows nicely the greatness to come in future releases. The Discordance Axis part is divided into tracks like displayed in the tracklist, but the Cosmic Hurse part is divided into only two so there's actually just two CH tracks, "Part 1" and "Part 2".

  3. Cosmic Hurse later turned into a band called Suicide Party, and re-recorded "Life Burns Me Out." Their sound was more hardcore/punk, and the more high pitched singer sang. They put out 2 7"s that both rule. Will later did Full Speed Ahead and Let It Burn.
