I don't even know how to begin describing just how incredibly awesome Birushanah is.
These guys play some of the most progressive, intense and heavy sludge imaginable blended with Japanese traditional music, most notably percussion. Now don't think that this is some Ensiferum-type folk addition to the music, it goes far beyond simple melodies and the traditional instrumentation plays a much bigger part. It's amazing, really! And I could talk about its amazingness all day long. ALL. DAY. LONG.
But it's the evening already.
You can buy the album at Missing Link, Relapse, The Omega Order, Level-Plane , Interpunk, and maybe somewhere else too.

These guys are gonna be THE BAND to look out for! Truly amazing. The epic experience they conjure reminds me a little of the second Snowblood album (but not really; and more "Japanese"). And, I hear they're doing a split with Drain the Sky soon... should be intense.
