The problem with fast 'n' noisy music is that there is no problem, but there are only so much adjectives to describe it as such. Sure, I'd have it easier if there were less kickass bands to check out, yet having it easy is hardly the point of life. As the old saying goes, life sucks and then you die, at least for us mortal working folk, so maybe the best you can do is to get all powerviolent about it, something like the four Texans who call themselves Mouth Breather.
Welcome to the Hellmouth is no-nonsense grindviolence in the sense of a gushing coffee pot, especially once we imagine the pot as a human / the water as blood. In the wonderful tradition of grind done on volcanic dope, the guys hit it off with buzz-saw distortion worthy of Southern sludge set to anxious shifts of blackened blastbeats, misanthropic chugs & d-beat rather than the all-out thrash of fastcore, all with a Bastard Noisy conclusion to the economically sound Keynesian Cross, the penultimate track of the EP. Add to that the anguished, anxious, acrid screams of their vocalist and you've got a band that you can recommend to both Nasum and Dystopia fans, as well as the odd Iron Monkey or Eyehategod pothead looking to cross over to the fast side.

Let it also be known that Mouth Breather's own bassman runs Return to the House of Grindcore, a blog tending to the overwrought appetite that we all have for grind reviews.
