Barack Obama (USA) - The Presidency (2008)

We're not scaremongering. This is really happening.

Sorry to intrude on the musicky goodness with some reality, but am I the only one currently imbued with a faint sense of optimism? Come on, let's have a debate.

  1. The fact that Obama is the first (relatively) black president makes me feel somewhat optimistic, but I couldn't really say how important all that is when compared to the fact that he too supported the Patriot Act and whatnot. This outcome is obviously still much better than the victory of that insane old man, but in a lesser evil kind of way. How big is this "change" really? As far as I'm concerned, not big enough. We'll know more in a few years, eh?

  6. I was an enthusiastic supporter of Obama, but not so much because I think that he'll change the government so much as because I would just like the U.S. government to just calm down and stop acting crazy for a while. But who knows? This was certainly the preferable result.

  8. I'd like to second what Matt said and remind everyone that Captain America is dead.

    Think about that.
